Everything you need to know about ordering from Nimama.

Orders

How do I place an order?

Browse our products, add jars to your cart, then choose your payment method at checkout. You'll receive a confirmation email right away.

Do I need an account to order?

You need an account to pay via Venmo or Zelle. Card (Stripe) checkout does not require an account.

How many jars can I order?

We cap orders each week based on how much we can prepare. If a limit is reached, you'll be notified at checkout.

Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Venmo, Zelle, and credit/debit card (via Stripe).

Why is Venmo/Zelle cheaper?

Card payments come with processing fees that we'd otherwise have to absorb. To keep things fair, we pass a $1/jar discount to customers who pay via Venmo or Zelle.

How does Venmo/Zelle payment work?

After placing your order you'll receive a confirmation email with our Venmo and Zelle details. Send the exact total and include your order ID in the note. Your order is confirmed once we mark your payment as received.

Is my card payment secure?

Yes. Card payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment provider. We never see or store your card details.

Cancellations & Refunds

Can I cancel my order?

Yes — you can cancel any time before pickup from your account page. We'll process your refund right away.

How are refunds handled?

Card orders are refunded automatically back to your card via Stripe — allow a few business days for it to appear. Venmo/Zelle orders are refunded manually by us, typically within 24 hours of cancellation.

Do you accept returns?

Due to the nature of food products, all sales are final and we are unable to accept returns. If you experience any issues with your order, please contact us at support@nimama.co and we'll do our best to make it right.

Pickup

When and where is pickup?

Every Sunday, 3–6pm at 2026 S Clark St, Chicago IL 60616 — you'll find us at Tsaocaa cafe. If that timing doesn't work for you, reach out to us at support@nimama.co and we'll work something out.

Do I need to bring anything?

Just your order ID — you'll find it in your confirmation email or on your account page.

Can someone else pick up my order?

Yes, just make sure they have your order ID.

About the Product

Is Nimama Sambal shelf stable?

Yes. Each jar has an expiry date printed on it. While shelf stable, we recommend refrigerating it to preserve its best quality. Once opened, keep it in the fridge.
